ATIVA is a Braziliam company that develops and provides innovative technologies in Subsea Engineering. It is one of the spinoffs of the Genensis Institute run by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC). The Genesis Institute is an incubator for companies in the social, cultural and technological sectors. ATIVA develops solutions to the constant technological challenges encountered in deepwater O&G operations. They handle customized design innovations and equipment deployment for their clients all the way up to field operations

The company has been a standout in developing ROV operated tools, designed for deepwater inspection and intervention, with an eye at competing for the many subsea field development contracts on offer in Brazil and abroad. No easy challenge, as they are competing mainly with well-established foreign companies with strong track records, that are flocking to the Brazilian O&G market.

Here are some of their areas of expertise;

-Innovative Mechanical Design for Deepwater E&P.

-Mechanical Robustness coupled with Operational Simplicity.

-Deepwater Hydraulic and Electric Automation and Instrumentation.

-Acquisition, Control and Data Transmission in Real Time.

-Short-term Development.

-Specialist Technical Support in Offshore Operations.

Underwater Robotic Inspection with AC-ROV and ROV Tools

Underwater Robotic Inspection with AC-ROV technology is arguably the most secure, simple, cheap and effective way of performing many different types of underwater inspections on tanks, rivers, lakes or at sea. The AC-ROV is a low-cost, simple operation and high performance underwater robot, besides being the world leader in mini-ROVs. All the equipment fits on a single handbag and weights only 18kg. ATIVA is the AC-CESS Distributor in Latin America.

ATIVA is also a standout in the development of innovative ROV tools for subsea intervention and inspection services. They offer mechanical precision and robustness as well as embedded electronics for acquisition and "online" data communication. This service includes the study of engineering solutions, mechanical and electronic designs, manufacturing and certification tool testing, besides technical support during offshore operations. According to Ativa, custom projects are developed according to customer demand.
