Description

We’re hiring a USCG Master Captain to join us at Pangaea Adventures (pangaeaadventures.com) for the summer season in Prince William Sound, Alaska (home port: Valdez).

This is a seasonal role (with some flexibility on start and end dates, roughly mid-May through mid-September) operating USCG-inspected 15 GRT vessels in support of our sea kayaking, glacier, backcountry and wildlife programs. If you believe humility sharpens judgment, courage means speaking up, and that safety and accountability guide how we look out for one another, we’ll probably get along just fine.

A little about us

Pangaea Adventures has been based in Valdez and operating in Prince William Sound since 1996. We’re a very team-oriented operation. Our captains work closely with guides and operations staff, and we place real trust and respect in the captain’s role in keeping both our team and our guests safe. We focus on small-group experiences, thoughtful vessel operations, and quality over volume.

What we offer:

• Competitive seasonal pay

• Sign-on bonus

• Profit sharing

• 401(k) contributions

• Seasonal housing provided (private bedroom, shared kitchen/common spaces)

• Paid preseason training and safety drills

• Support for professional development and license advancement
