Statoil Halts Aasgard A Production Due to Bad Weather

Norwegian oil and gas firm Statoil shut production at its Aasgard A field in the Norwegian Sea due to bad weather and expects production to resume on Sunday, spokesman Morten Eek said on Thursday. Statoil, which is temporarily moving 310 people from various platforms, will also remove some personnel from the Statfjord and Norne fields but does not expect an impact on production there, Eek added. Seadrill Wins $497m Exxon Contract in Nigeria

Seadrill, the world's biggest offshore driller by market capitalisation, won a two-year $497 million contract from ExxonMobil for one of its newly built rigs, the firm said on Friday. The deal, which also includes a one-year option, is for work in Nigeria, in support of the ERHA North Phase 2 project, the firm said. Aker Solutions Wins 5-year Statoil Contract

Norway's Aker Solutions has won a five-year contract from Statoil for maintenance and modification services at the heavy oil Mariner field in the British section of the North Sea, Aker Solutions said on Friday.
