Global Marine Expands Its Fleet

 Subsea cable systems design, installation and maintenance firm Global Marine Systems Limited, has added the 6,200 ton cable deadweight CS Recorder to its fleet.   Built in 2000, the vessel formerly known as the Maersk Recorder, has previously been chartered by Global Marine for numerous cable installation projects and has since successfully completed work in the oil and gas and renewables sectors. The newly named CS Recorder is intended to support the telecoms installation business growth over the next 5-10 years, with a number of critical projects scheduled during 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Global Marine Systems Awarded ACMA Contract Extension

Global Marine Systems Limited announced has that it has been awarded the renewal of the Atlantic Cable Maintenance Agreement (ACMA), alongside its Atlantic partner for maintenance services, Orange Marine.   The new contract began on January 1, 2017, and runs for five years, through to December 2021. ACMA is a non-profit cooperative subsea maintenance agreement consisting of 60+ members.  ACMA members are companies responsible for the operations and maintenance of undersea communications and power cables, as well as Oil & Gas Platform operators, in the Atlantic, North Sea and

Cables Installed for NEPTUNE Research Observatory

Global Marine Secures Long-term NAZ Extension

Subsea system design, installation and maintenance group Global Marine Systems Limited has been awarded an extension of the North America Maintenance Zone (NAZ) submarine cable maintenance contract up to December 31, 2024.   NAZ covers a cable maintenance footprint, which stretches from the Eastern North Pacific to the Equator. Augmented Reality App Brings 3D Models to Life

Global Marine Systems Limited, the U.K. headquartered provider of subsea cable route design, installation and maintenance; recently showcased its capabilities in the power and offshore renewables markets at the EWEA Annual Exhibition in Paris, and as part of the increased focus on this industry, has released the GMSL APP.   The GMSL APP brings Global Marine’s images to 3D life. GMS Completes Gulf of Guinea Cable Lay

Global Marine Systems Limited completed a fiber optic installation project in the Gulf of Guinea for Huawei Marine Networks (HMN), a Global Marine joint venture partner. Thiswill be the first installation of the R2 repeater following successful sea trials, which took place on Cable Innovator in November 2014.   The project, saw the installation of a 1,011 km repeatered fibre optic subsea cable system installed between Lagos in Nigeria and Kribi in Cameroon.
