Mitcham Acquires L-3’s Klein Associates

L-3 Klein to Host Side Scan Sonar Seminar

L-3 Klein Associates, Inc., a producer of in Side Scan Sonar equipment, announced it will host a Side Scan Sonar Operations and Maintenance Training Seminar from October 20-22, 2015.   The three-day seminar will be conducted at L-3 Klein’s Facility in Salem, N.H. The training will include two days of classroom instruction and one day of on the water training. Lunch will be provided daily.   The seminar is geared toward operators and managers seeking a better understanding of side scan sonar techniques. The course is open to any user of side scan sonar regardless of brand, experience

SeeByte Software for L-3 Klein Sonar

SeeByte demonstrated its Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) software using a L-3 Klein Associates sonar payload (L-3 Klein UUV 3500, dual frequency 455/900 kHz) on an Iver-3 vehicle. This process involved the ATR software being tuned to the Klein sonar in order for the software to be able to identify contacts of interest in the sonar data. The tuning of the sonar was done using settings commonly applied in mine countermeasures (MCM) missions. L-3 Klein Associates, Inc. will hold a three-day Side Scan Sonar Operations and Maintenance Training Seminar from May 19-21, 2015 at L-3 Klein’s Facility in Salem, N.H.   Organizers said the seminar is geared to the operator, as well as to the manager, who wants a better understanding of Side Scan Sonar techniques. L-3 Klein to Host Demo Days

L-3 Klein Associates, Inc. will conduct on-water product demonstrations from January 20-22, 2015 at the Shell Point Marina in Ruskin, Florida.   Demonstrations will begin promptly each day at 9 a.m.  In conjunction with Higgs Hydrographic Tek and Survtech Solutions, L-3 Klein will be showcasing the HydroChart 3500 shallow water, interferometric sonar with co-registered side scan.
