SOCAR Inks Deals for Caspian Fields with Equinor

Azeri state oil company SOCAR and Norway's Equinor on Wednesday signed a risk service contract for the development of the Karabakh offshore oil and natural gas field in the Caspian Sea.The two companies also signed a product-sharing agreement for Ashrafi, Dan-Ulduzu and Aypara exploration area."The agreements signed today represent a natural next step in the region. This will strengthen our position in a prolific basin and develop growth options," Equinor Chief Executive Eldar Saetre said in a statement.To operate the licences, Equinor and SOCAR will form a 50-50 joint operating company.

Semco Wins Order for Culzean Hook-up

Bibby Offshore wins Shell Contract

Israeli finds Another Large Offshore Gas Field

  An Israeli exploration group reported on Sunday it has discovered another large natural gas field off Israel's Mediterranean coast. The group, led by Isramco Negev and Modiin Energy, said that a resource report showed there could be an estimated total of 8.9 trillion cubic feet of natural gas at the Daniel east and west fields. Aker Solutions Wins First Order in Offshore Mexico

Aker Solutions won its first order for a project offshore Mexico as it secured a contract from Saipem to supply umbilicals for the Pemex-operated Lakach deepwater natural-gas field. Aker Solutions will deliver electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilicals of about 73 kilometers (45 miles) that will help connect Mexico's first subsea gas development to onshore processing facilities. The field is located about 98 kilometres (60 miles) southeast of Veracruz at depths of between 900 and 1,200 meters in the Gulf of Mexico. Petroci, Vioco Petroleum to Invest $255m in Offshore Field

Ivory Coast's state oil company Petroci and Vioco Petroleum will invest $255 million to bring into production the Gazelle oil and natural gas field on the West African nation's CI-202 offshore block, the government said on Wednesday.   Vioco, a joint venture between the exploration and production arm of Switzerland's Vitol and Azonto Petroleum, holds an 87 percent stake in CI-202 under a production sharing agreement signed last year.
