West Phoenix to Drill in UK and Norway

 Statoil and its partners have contracted the West Phoenix rig for exploration drilling on the U.K. and Norwegian continental shelves from the summer of 2018. The contract is awarded to the two Seadrill companies North Atlantic Drilling UK Ltd. and North Atlantic Norway Ltd. The semi-submersible rig West Phoenix will first drill an exploration well for the Ragnfrid North license on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS), followed by three wells on the U.K. Continental Shelf (UKCS). Rosneft Expands Deal with North Atlantic Drilling

Russia's top oil producer Rosneft and North Atlantic Drilling have entered into a drilling agreement worth up to $4.25 billion, in line with a previous agreement and despite Western sanctions over Moscow's role in Ukraine. Rosneft said the deal foresaw the employment of six offshore drilling rigs until 2022. North Atlantic Drilling is a subsidiary of Seadrill, the world's largest offshore driller. NADL – Seadrill New Partner Talks on Hold

North Atlantic Drilling Ltd. (NADL) and Seadrill Ltd. have been in discussions to bring in a strategic partner as a major owner of NADL, but have not yet been able to find a mutually acceptable solution to all transaction parameters, including treatment of minority shareholders. In view of the commitment NADL has given to its shareholders to list the company, Seadrill has decided to put the current discussions on hold and NADL will proceed with an independent listing on NYSE. Seadrill Rig Contract Extended

Seadrill - North Atlantic Drilling Ltd. announces extension of Statoil contract for the harsh environment jack-up rig 'West Epsilon'. North Atlantic Drilling Ltd., a majority owned subsidiary of Seadrill Limited, announce that Statoil has exercised its option to extend the contract for the heavy-duty harsh environment jack-up rig West Epsilon by two years from December 2014 to December 2016.
