Bourbon wins Pipelay EPCI Contract for Hylia Project

by Total Gabon for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of 25 km of 6” rigid pipeline as part of the Hylia Water Injection Project using Zap-Lok technology.   For the execution of this contract, BOURBON is subcontracting key suppliers, mainly Cortez Subsea, for pipelay equipment and Wood Group for the pipeline design and pipelay engineering. Operations are scheduled to start in Q2 2017 offshore Gabon with an MPSV from the Bourbon Evolution 800 series. ROV services and a PSV, all provided by BOURBON, will also support survey and air diving operations for spool and riser

Technip Upgrading ‘Global 1200′ Vessel

heavy lift vessel ‘Global 1200’, designed by Ulstein Sea of Solutions. The vessel arrived at the yard in January 2015. The scope of work includes dry-docking for Special Periodical Survey and various maintenance repair works, modifications to upgrade the vessel DP capability and various pipelay equipment upgrades for future projects. Technip and Damen contracted ULSTEIN to support in the design and engineering of the upgrade and modification work and the docking. The Global 1200 and its sister vessel Global 1201 were both designed by Ulstein Sea of Solutions (USOS) for Global Industries

Huisman Brazil Receives First Order

for the Brazilian offshore market. The new Huisman production facility is planned to be operational in 2014. Besides the three sets of cranes, Huisman will also deliver three 550mt Tiltable Lay Systems for Subsea 7 and the two 650 and two 340mt Tiltable Lay Systems for Technip-DOF. All these pipelay equipment orders are part of a big Petrobas order and should be ready to serve the Brazilian market in 2017. huismanequipment.com

Huisman Banks 10 Pipelay Equipment Orders

Huisman, a worldwide specialist in lifting, drilling and subsea solutions, has secured new contracts for 10 pipelay systems with various major offshore pipelay contractors. The new contracts include three 550mt Tiltable Lay Systems (TLS) and one 325mt Vertical Lay System (VLS) for Subsea 7, two 650mt TLS and two 340mt VLS for Technip-DOF, one 275mt VLS and one 570mt Multi-lay System for Ceona. The equipment will be built at the various Huisman production facilities in The Netherlands, Czech Republic, China and Brazil. Delivery of these pipelay systems is scheduled between the end of this year and
