Roxtec Delivers Seals for Orbital's O2 Tidal Turbine

Safety seal manufacturer Roxtec said Monday it had supplied Scotland-based Orbital Marine Power with a range of cable sealing solutions to support the construction of Orbital Marine's tidal turbine, the Orbital O2 2MW.Orbital’s O2 turbine is nearing completion at TEXO Group’s manufacturing facility in Dundee and will enter operation this spring at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) off the coast of Orkney.The O2 will be towed from Dundee to Orkney in the coming weeks before being anchored at EMEC’s site in the Fall of Warness where tidal speeds can exceed 3m/s. Roxtec Bags $1.7 Bln Rampion Wind Farm Deal

International cable seal manufacturer Roxtec has delivered a sealing solution to support a new £1.3 billion ($1.7 billion) offshore wind farm in the English Channel.   Roxtec designed and supplied all cable seals involved in the Rampion Offshore wind farm, located 13km off the coast of Sussex.   In April, the topside for the Rampion substation departed Rosyth for the project site and the first of 116 wind turbines began to be installed. Roxtec Seals Deal on $1.8 bln North Sea Wind Farm Project

Roxtec has secured a major contract to deliver its innovative safety seal solutions to an ambitious £1.5billion ($1.8 bln) offshore wind farm project in the North Sea. Roxtec UK managing director Graham O’Hare said the firm will deliver cable transit systems which are a key safety component to safeguard workers, structures and equipment on a substation platform being created as part of the Dudgeon Offshore Windfarm.   The deal will see a wide range of sealing solutions used on the platform, which will sit 20 miles offshore near the seaside town of Cromer in North Norfolk.   Mr

Roxtec Launches Roxtec Services AB

North West safety seal manufacturer Roxtec has launched a new company called Roxtec Services AB targeting North Sea marine and offshore markets. Roxtec Reports Surge in UK Sales

Roxtec, based in Greater Manchester, has reported a 45 percent growth from its U.K. operation with sales hitting approximately $6.69 million. This activity represents a four-fold increase in company sales over the past eight years. North Sea Accommodation Module Sealed with Roxtec

Global safety seal manufacturer Roxtec has completed a project supplying cable and pipe seals to a six level accommodation module on the Golden Eagle development. The living quarters houses 70 self-contained cabins for up to 140 people. It also includes a gymnasium, dining room, offices and a medical suite.
