Kongsberg to Equip New Heavy Lift Crane Vessel

Kongsberg Maritime has secured a contract worth approximately $13 million to equip a new heavy lift crane vessel for Offshore Heavy Transport (OHT) with an innovative technology suite. The vessel, a customized Ulstein Design & Solutions BV design, marks the entry of the Norway-based Offshore Heavy Transport (OHT) into the offshore renewables and installation market. Ulstein Design & Solutions entered into a contract with Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd, China, for the delivery of ship design & equipment to four PX121 type platform supply vessels. The ship owner is the Singapore based Otto Offshore Ltd., which is scheduled to receive all vessels in 2016. The contract also includes an option for four vessels. Rolls-Royce to supply machinery for 4 tugs for ALP Maritime Services

Rolls-Royce has been awarded a £19m contract to deliver deck machinery for four ocean going tugs, designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions, for Dutch company ALP Maritime Services. The vessels will be constructed in Japan by Niigata Shipbuilding & Repair. The vessels are being developed for towing large structures like oil rigs and floating production units over long distances. Nordic Clinches $23.5m Offshore Seismic Contract

is operated by SCF GEO, based in St Petersburg. To support the 3D data acquisition program, Nordic and SCF Geo will charter and mobilise a supply ship and 10 chase vessels locally from Indian owners.
