TE Connectivity (TE) is serving the Asian market with a new location and increased capabilities

TE’s new manufacturing facility in Kunshan, China is delivering the company’s C-Lite cable family of marine classified cables, expanding the offering to its customers in Asia. The new location targets reduced lead time, taking the average delivery time from 12 weeks down to just five weeks, the company said.

At Marintec China 2015, TE will feature the C-Lite line, which with the recent addition of the China Classification Society (CCS), are now certified by eight marine classification agencies.

From general power and lighting to communication, control and instrumentation applications, the C-Lite cable family is designed for use in a variety of commercial marine, offshore and military marine applications.  C-Lite cables use TE’s advanced materials technology to deliver a thin-wall insulation that reduces the size and weight of cables, without reducing the electrical or mechanical properties.
