Global specialists in the design, manufacture and rental of advanced subsea technology for the offshore energy industry Subsea Technology & Rentals Ltd (STR) has expanded its offering of dredging equipment following a partnership agreement with Aberdeen based Subsea Tooling Services (STS) to hire, service and support its range of subsea dredging systems held mobilization ready at STR offices.

The Predator and Gremlin range of dredgers will become the latest offering from STR.

STR said the STS dredgers use cutting-edge fluid dynamic technology and are efficient and easy to use, both by Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and divers. This new generation of dredge systems can be configured subsea to either dredge or jet without the need for ROV/diver frame recovery.

“We have created unique, high performance subsea equipment that is unrivalled in both engineering and quality,” Billy Milne, Business Development Director at STS. “Our dredgers are not only the most efficient on the market, they are a completely new concept which has been rigorously tested to ensure safety and reliability.”

Neil Jackson, Sales and Operations Manager at STR, commented on expanding STR’s inventory of dredging equipment and the benefits customers can expect: “Building on our growing reputation for delivering the very best survey and subsea equipment solutions, the STS range of pioneering dredgers serve only to strengthen our commitments.”
