SEACON Earns International Trade Award

SEACON (Europe) Ltd., part of the SEA CON Group, announced that it was named winner of a Queen’s Award for International Trade.

The SEA CON Group a company in underwater connector technology, provides an extensive and diverse range of electrical, optical and hybrid connector assemblies, submersible switches and cable system solutions for many applications within the oil and gas, defense, oceanographic and environmental markets.

According to SEACON, the award was made in recognition of its continued growth and commitment to international customers and year on year progress, not just in revenue but in customer relations and overall business development. SEACON said it has seen its exports in the European market grow from just over £1 million in 2010 to over £2.6 million in 2012 and global sales rise from £9.1 million to over £12.6 million in the same period.

Kevin Hall, Sales Director for SEACON (Europe) Ltd. said, “This is a great achievement and something we can all be very proud of. This is one of the highest accolades in business success and recognizes our commitment and achievements in international trade. We look forward to even greater success in the future.”

While Managing Director, David Parker commented, “We are very proud to be associated with the Queens award. The awards are made annually by HM The Queen and are only given for the highest levels of excellence demonstrated in each category. Only 160 Queen’s Awards have been announced this year for outstanding business achievement in the field of International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development.
