Tesla Contracts Fairfield for Cable-free ZLand Nodes
Second ZLand lease in a month for busy seismic contractor focused on efficiency and flexibility
After leasing 4500ZLand nodes for a project in Somaliland in July, Tesla Exploration Ltd. recently signed another lease agreement with Fairfield Nodal, this time for 1100ZLand nodes for use in urban and agricultural areas in Europe. Tesla intends to use ZLand to augment its Aram systems and as a standalone system.
“In addition to our work in metropolitan areas, we’re very interested in ZLand’s advantages for our transition-zone operation near Blackpool, England, and on heavily farmed areas in Southern England,” said Derric Richardson, New Ventures Manager for Tesla in Africa.
Serge Rambaud, FairfieldNodal’s regional sales manager is confident that the true cable-free system makes great operational sense for his client. “ZLand is an ideal system for urban and farming environments that Tesla is dealing with. The nodes can be buried easily, so they’re out of man’s and animals’ way.”
