Trident Group announced the launch of its Maritime Boarding Alert Device (MBAD) today. An integrated perimeter threat detection and repel platform, MBAD was developed by former Naval Special Warfare operators as a solution to prevent unauthorized access to maritime assets.
MBAD is a round-the-clock security system, requiring no crew interaction. When activated by a security breach, the system uses multi-modal sensory overload to impair the intruder’s sight and hearing for several minutes while it alerts crew members, giving them the time needed to control the situation.
“Maritime crime is a significant threat in many parts of the world,” said Thomas Rothrauff, chief executive officer, Trident Group. “MBAD was designed specifically for the maritime environment in response to clients’ security concerns that unfettered access to a maritime asset presents. MBAD provides a patented and unique layer of protection not available elsewhere in the industry. The device is a non-lethal deterrent, based on our team’s unique maritime security experience, and is applicable in any maritime environment without Flag State restriction.”
MBAD features durable marine-grade components with built-in redundancy. MBAD provides scalable protection accompanied by world-class customer service, including off site “virtual” maintenance and troubleshooting assistance 24/7/365.
