Veripos Positioning for Swire Pacific Offshore Fleet

Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd (SPO), an owner and operator of support vessels for offshore sectors, has awarded a three-year contract to Veripos for provision of precise satellite positioning.

Under the terms of the contract, Veripos will provide precise positioning services to SPO’s existing fleet of more than 80 vessels globally. The fleet will progressively expand to over 100 vessels by the end 2015.  Veripos is currently providing services to a significant number of SPO vessels in Asia, Africa and Europe and will be completing installation of facilities on the remaining ones in coming months.

As part of the arrangement, Veripos will standardize fleet equipment with LID5-GG2  integrated mobile receivers and all SPO vessels will be using a mix of Veripos Apex2, Ultra2, Apex and Ultra services which are capable of providing better than 10cm positioning accuracies using GPS and Glonass satellite systems.
