Reach Subsea Buys Australian Marine Survey Firm

Norwegian subsea services company Reach Subsea has completed the acquisition of the Australian marine survey company Guardian Geomatics Pty. Reach Subsea had announced the proposed acquisition of Guardian Geomatics in October.It said at the time that the acquisition would accelerate its strategic global expansion agenda and open new doors for it in Australia and the Asia-Pacific markets. It said that Guardian Geomatics’ existing survey business was highly attractive, and as part of Reach Subsea, the company would serve as an enabler for launching its unmanned Reach Remote platform in

Sarcos and VideoRay Partner to Offer Integrated Underwater Robotic Systems

Robotic systems firm Sarcos and subsea robotic systems developer VideoRay have signed an agreement to offer integrated underwater robotic systems combining VideoRay remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) with the Sarcos Guardian Sea Class robotic system including its dexterous arms.Sarcos and VideoRay will each be able to sell an integrated underwater robotic system and their respective products and provide replacement parts, repair services, and support.“This collaboration is significant for the industry as it will enable Sarcos and VideoRay customers to easily purchase a pre-integrated system

Scottish search and rescue (SAR) technology company Zelim has developed the Guardian class of fast rescue craft, controlled by Sea Machines Robotics’ SM300 maritime autonomy, enabling unmanned operation of the vessel employing Zelim’s casualty detection and recovery process.  The 8.5m Guardian includes Sea Machines SM300 remote command and control product, making capable of uncrewed operation.
