Florence Joins InterAct as Sr. Reservoir Engineer

Francois Florence has joined InterAct as a Senior Reservoir Engineer. 

Florence brings to the role 10 years of experience working with a large independent oil and gas operator in the LA Basin, with a background in reservoir engineering and production operations. His reservoir knowledge brings expertise in waterflood management, field development and reservoir simulation. As a Production Engineer, his experience includes managing well maintenance, daily production and injection with a focus on asset optimization. Florence has a great deal of experience managing large scale projects including abandonment campaigns, coordinated efforts of staff and contractors and regulatory compliance.  He has held various engineering roles during his previous tenure with Occidental Petroleum (now California Resources Corporation), including reservoir engineer, production engineer, project manager and senior operations engineer.

Florence holds a B.S. in Energy Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure du Petrole et des Moteurs (IFP School), France, as well as a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Ventura, Calif. based InterAct, part of the international Acteon group, is a project management, engineering and environmental consulting firm specializing in oil and gas production, development and decommissioning services.
