Nordic Maritime to Perform 2D Seismic Survey with OBN

Singapore-based offshore specialist Nordic Maritime in collaboration with PT. Alamjaya Makmur Sejahtera, was awarded a contract worth more than $2 million to provide 2D seismic marine acquisition services utilizing OBN (Ocean Bottom Node) technology to Mitra Energy Indonesia.

Nordic Maritime’s S/V Nordic Bahari will start the acquisition with the support from another two Nordic vessels, M.V. Nordic Emma and M.V. Viking Vanguard as OBN deployment and recovery vessel and as guard chase vessels.
 
Nordic Maritime’s Executive Director, Kjell Gauksheim said, “We are very excited and privileged to be working with Mitra Energy on this new project on 2D seismic marine acquisition services which uses OBN in shallow water part of the survey. We are pleased to be entrusted with this solution and we will perform as always to our established high standards. We believe there are more opportunities like this and we are open to more contracts of this sort in future.”
