Pferdehirt Named CEO of FMC Technologies

The FMC Technologies Board of Directors has appointed Douglas J. Pferdehirt President and Chief Executive Officer of FMC Technologies, effective September 1, 2016. Pferdehirt will succeed John T. Gremp, who will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors while the company completes its transition to the new CEO.
After a 26-year career with Schlumberger Limited, Pferdehirt joined FMC Technologies in August 2012 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and was appointed President in May 2015. In the almost four years he has been with the company, he has helped lead and execute many strategic shifts, including industry-changing alliances with leading service providers, such as Technip.

FMC Technologies also announced that Gremp, currently CEO and Chairman of the FMC Technologies Board of Directors, will remain on the board as Chairman until he retires in May 2017, at which time Pferdehirt will also assume the Chairman role.
Gremp has served as CEO of FMC Technologies since 2011, having been with the company for 41 years.
