Seatools Automated Anode Cage Installation Tool for GeoSea

Subsea technology company Seatools said it has been awarded a contract from GeoSea for the design and delivery of an automated anode cage installation tool to be used in the Hohe See offshore wind farm construction.

The highly automated anode cage installation aid, designed in close collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contractor GeoSea, will be deployed to help accurately position, direct and fasten 71 anode cages for Hohe See wind farm without divers or remotely operated vehicles (ROV).

According to Seatools, GeoSea will benefit from an innovative installation procedure that includes high levels of automation, installation accuracy, system reliability and efficiency.
The anode cage installation tool is equipped with a survey system that monitors every step of the installation process. To guarantee uninterrupted operations regardless of circumstances, the tool is executed with a high level of redundancy and solid backup strategies, Seatools said.
