Eni will soon start repairing a loading hose at its Arctic Goliat oil platform offshore Norway, and will resume production thereafter, the company said on Wednesday.

"According with current weather forecasts we anticipate to get the repair to be started soon and production restart immediately after the completion of the work," a spokesman for the company in Norway said in an email.

Eni didn't say how long the repairs could take place, and was not immediately available for comment.

Norway's only producing oilfield in the Barents Sea was shut on Dec. 29.
