Paul Tooms Joins WFS Advisory Board

WFS Technology Ltd announced the appointment of Paul Tooms to the company’s advisory board.

Paul studied mechanical engineering at Imperial College, London. After a brief spell working in diesel engine manufacture he joined BP as a drilling engineer, clocking up 25 years across BP Upstream before being appointed to Head of Subsea Discipline in 2005.

He took over as Head of Engineering for BP Upstream in 2009, and was made a Distinguished Advisor in 2012 in recognition of his problem solving accomplishments.

He retired from BP in 2014 and now works as a consultant, addressing complex issues, troubleshooting and providing industry advice.  He is also a director of The Welding Institute.
