Elbit Systems to Buy Sparton for $380 Million

Israel-based international defense electronics company Elbit Systems has signed an agreement to buy maritime defense contractor Sparton for $380 million.  Elbit said Wednesday that its U.S. subsidiary Elbit Systems of America had signed a definitive agreement with an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. for the acquisition of Sparton. Turkey to Produce First Marine Missiles

Turkey's Defense Industry Directorate (SSB) has signed a deal with missile manufacturer Roketsan for the mass production of the country's first marine missiles, the SSB said on Friday.In a statement, the SSB also said Turkish defense electronics company Aselsan would produce launch control systems and other equipment for the missiles, which will be called ATMACA.(Reporting by Tulay Karadeniz; Writing by Tuvan Gumrukcu; Editing by Daren Butler)
