An ROV equipped with multiple Tritech sensors has been sold by Outland Technology to the geographic survey company Emas Energy Services (Thailand) Ltd.The Outland 2500 is rated to 300m (1000ft) and uses brushless DC, magnetically coupled thrusters. It is equipped with:Gemini 1200ik: a dual frequency multibeam imaging sonar giving video-like, real time imaging, ideal for structural and seabed inspections. PSW Takes Over EMAS Spoolbase In Norway

Norway's PSW Group has taken over the operation of the former EMAS spoolbase located in Gulen Industrial Harbor, Western Norway. In a statement on Wednesday, PSW Group said the agreement to take over the spoolbase covered all activities related to the production and spooling of pipelines for offshore use. The spoolbase will be named "PSW Spoolbase".The spoolbase capable of handling a wide range of subsea and offshore piping projects in Northern Europe has a 3700m2 fabrication facility including an integrated indoor tie-in area. Italian oil and gas contractor Saipem said it has reached a deal to purchase the pipelay, heavy lift and construction vessel Lewek Constellation for $275 million. Emas Chiyoda Subsea Files for Bankruptcy

Fugro Secures North Sea Trenching Projects

deployed in the North Sea over the next 12 months.   At the Wintershall-owned Maria development in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, Fugro will deploy the Q1400 trenching system under a contract with Subsea 7. At Det norske’s Ivar Aasen development, the system will be deployed for EMAS CHIYODA Subsea in June.
