DeepOcean Completes Decommissioning Project on Dunlin Alpha Platform

Ocean services provider DeepOcean has completed a decommissioning project on Fairfield Energy’s Dunlin Alpha platform on the UK continental shelf. DeepOcean removed six subsea conductors and four vertical supports at varying water depths and removed the upper conductor guideframes with an estimated weight of 400 tonnes, together with the design and installation of bespoke clamps.The entire project was completed within 12-16 weeks from contract award to offshore execution.“The project required intensive dynamic and structural analysis to enable the removal of the upper conductor

Maersk Seeks to Shut Janice in UK North Sea

Ocean Installer Contracted to Work in Dunlin Field

Fairfield Energy Limited has awarded Ocean Installer a contract for air diving services and light subsea construction work at the Dunlin field. The work scope involves air diving services on the Dunlin Alpha platform at -10m LAT for installation of sleeves, clamps and anodes, as well as additional light construction/inspection and repair tasks. The project will be managed from the Ocean Installer Aberdeen office, with onshore preparations starting immediately and offshore work starting in June this year.
