Harland & Wolff Inks Five-Year Contract with Global Oil Services Company
Harland & Wolff Group has signed a five-year master services agreement for the fabrication of large structures with oil services company supplying subsea infrastructure for global oil and gas developments.Harland & Wolff has received its first purchase order under that agreement to fabricate six subsea structures with a contract value of approximately $3.8 million (£3 million). The order comes from an unnamed client that supplies subsea equipment across major hydrocarbon basins around the globe, according to the company. These highly specialized structures are used in oil and gas platforms
DeepOcean, Akvaplan-niva to Use ROVs, USVs for Environmental Studies in Offshore Energy Space
Subsea services provider DeepOcean has signed a collaboration deal with Akvaplan-niva regarding the potential utilization of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and unmanned glider vehicles (USVs) to perform environmental studies for offshore wind and oil and gas developments. Akvaplan-niva is a subsidiary of the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA). The company provides advisory services, research and development, and analytical services for all water related topics.DeepOcean and Akvaplan-niva plan to work together, combining the field operations of DeepOcean’s autonomous vehicles
Aker Solutions to Deliver Subsea Umbilical for Chevron's J-IC Project Off Australia
Jansz-Io gas field was first discovered in April 2000 and is located around 200 kilometers offshore the north-western coast of Western Australia, at water depths of approximately 1,400 meters. The Jansz-Io field is a part of the Chevron-operated Gorgon project, one of the world's largest natural gas developments
ABB to Power Chevron's Jansz-Io Compression (J-IC) Project in Australia
project, offshore W. Australia. The Jansz-Io field is located around 200 kilometers offshore the north-western coast of Australia, at water depths of approximately 1,400 meters. The field is a part of the Chevron-operated Gorgon natural gas project, one of the world’s largest natural gas developments. Sanctioned by Chevron last month, the J-IC project, which moves gas from the deep seas to shore, marks only the third time that this type of subsea compression technology is being deployed globally and the first time outside of Norway where ABB was also responsible for providing the EPS

OneSubsea, Subsea 7 Win Ormen Lange Contracts
,” said Don Sweet, president OneSubsea.OneSubsea multiphase compression technology results in a simpler, more affordable and easier-to-install subsea compression system. By lowering backpressure on the reservoir, this technology helps customers increase recovery and extend the life of their gas developments.Subsea 7’s scope under this contract includes front-end engineering design (FEED), which will proceed to execution phase in the case of positive FID by A/S Norske Shell and its partners, Petoro, Equinor, INEOS and ExxonMobil. The work will be executed as a Subsea Integration Alliance(1)
Wood Wins Jansz-lo Subsea Compression FEED
flow assurance, subsea design and construction engineering support during the FEED. Effective immediately, Wood’s one-year contract will be delivered by its team based in Perth. The Jansz-Io field – part of the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, one of the world's largest natural gas developments – is located around 200 kilometers offshore the northwest coast of Western Australia at approximately 1,350 meters water depth. In March Aker Solutions, which delivered the world's first subsea compression system for Equinor's Åsgard field offshore Norway in 2015, was awarded
DNVGL: New Mooring Line Solution for Offshore Ops
suggests that they can be prone to failure within the first few years of installation.DNV GL’s Smart Mooring solution can be used instead of replacing failed sensors in brownfield offshore operations, or as a complete alternative to implementing sensor technology in greenfield offshore oil and gas developments. DNV GL’s experts developed the Smart Mooring solution by training a machine learning model to interpret the response of a vessel’s mooring system to a set of environmental conditions and are then able to determine which mooring line has failed.
Chevron to Use Subsea Compression at Jansz-Io
unmanned power and control floater, as well as overall field system engineering services. The field control station will distribute onshore power to the subsea compression station. The Jansz-Io field – part of the Chevron Australia-operated Gorgon Project, one of the world's largest natural gas developments – is located around 200 kilometers offshore the northwest coast of Western Australia at approximately 1,350 meters below the surface
