CGG Readies Offshore Mozambique Seismic Survey

dataset from its recent 15,400-sq km (5,946-sq mi) multi-client survey of the outer Zambezi Delta in the Mozambique basin. The ultramodern data was acquired over blocks Z5-C and Z5-D and surrounding open acreage as part of a multi-client program agreed between CGG and Mozambique’s Instituto Nacional de Petroleo (INP).The final PSDM data identifies key stratigraphic intervals for a better understanding of the petroleum system and, in conjunction with the high-resolution gravity and magnetic data, brings new information on the basin morphology and its evolution.CGG’s advanced imaging workflow

CGG Releases Data from Mozambique Survey

outer Zambezi Delta Basin is now available for license, the geoscience company announced during Africa Oil Week. The data covers a 15,400 km2 area over blocks Z5-C and Z5-D and surrounding open acreage. It was acquired as part of a multi-client program agreed between CGG and Mozambique’s Instituto Nacional de Petroleo (INP) in 2017.Interested international oil companies can view the high-end data set in CGG data rooms in anticipation of the country’s 2019 licensing round.CGG said final PSDM deliverables will be released in Q4 2019 and be complemented by a JumpStart integrated geoscience package

CGG Awarded Seismic Data Project Off Mozambique

CGG has been awarded an extensive multi-client program by the Instituto Nacional de Petroleo (INP) to acquire seismic data offshore Mozambique. The multi-survey program is designed to improve industry insight into the region’s geology and provide oil and gas companies with a greater level of understanding of the country’s prospectivity.   The program includes a 2D survey of over 6,550 km in the offshore Rovuma basin, including blocks R5-A, R5-B and R5-C, and a large 3D survey over the Beira High in the Zambezi Delta. The 3D survey is expected to be up to 40,000 km², subject to
