Reviewing Sapinhoá-Lula NE BSR System
safely bringing the oil and gas to production FPSOs have been compounded by the extreme water depths involved. In 2011 Subsea 7 was awarded a milestone subsea umbilical, riser and flowline (SURF) contract by national operator Petrobras for four decoupled riser systems to be installed in the Sapinhoá-Lula NE fields located in the Santos Basin, in the largest engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning (EPIC) SURF contract awarded to date in Brazil. The pioneering technology for connecting a large number of wells to a single FPSO was developed by the Petrobras’ research center

in the O&G business as a supplier of subsea production systems. Aker’s product list includes: Subsea Trees, Manifolds, Control Systems, PLEMs, PLETs and Pump stations. The company has achieved success as a supplier of subsea equipment for pre-salt fields being developed in Brazil, such as at the Lula, Lula-Nordeste and Sapinhoá fields for Petrobras and is also present is a number of fields operated by IOCs. The knowledge and technologies developed by the company range from reservoir to production throughout the life cycle of a field. “Our main products and services are focused on

surveys, for a quick evaluation of the Santos Basin in advance of the licensing rounds. This was a precursor to the ongoing 23,750-km2 Constellation project, which will apply improvements in subsurface imaging achieved over the past decade to these legacy data sets and bring new insight into the Lula, Peroba and Pau Brasil fields. Further up the coast CGG is reprocessing the Santos VI-A, VI-B, and Campos II surveys as the Pulsar project. Although these surveys are relatively recent, advances in FWI velocity modeling and the benefits of a consistent, contiguous data volume led to them

, and production growth evolve in a very positive way. Preferred partnerships and shared expertise are core to that success.” The agreement is valid for five years and can be renewed. Shell is a strategic partner of Petrobras in the pre-salt, with minority interests in the Libra and Lula fields and other important areas such as Sapinhoá, Lapa, and Iara, all of which are in Santos Basin
Petrobras Starts production in Santos Basin
Santos Basin’s pre-salt Lapa field. The Cidade de Caraguatatuba is the third unit to come onstream in the pre-salt this year, and the 11th fully operational system lifting pre-salt deposits. Lapa is the third pre-salt field in the Santos Basin to start production, following in the footsteps of the Lula and Sapinhoá fields. The Cidade de Caraguatatuba, a floating production, storage and offloading unit (FPSO) lies some 270 km off the São Paulo coastline at a water depth of 2,140 m, and has capacity to process 100,000 barrels of oil and compress 5 million m3 of gas per day. It is
Petrobras' Production Crosses 1 bln barrels
On Wednesday, December 14, Petrobras and its partners celebrated a milestone: they have now produced 1 billion barrels of oil in the pre-salt layer. This total output was achieved just six years after the first production system came on stream in Santos Basin, in Lula field, and 10 years after the first discovery, in 2006, demonstrating Petrobras’ technical capacity. This performance is unparalleled in the global history of offshore oil production and compares favorably with other important oil-producing areas around the world. For example, in the American portion of the Gulf of Mexico
Petrobras Bringing Two FPSO Platforms Online
Brazil's state-led oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA is working hard to meet its production targets, the company's head of exploration and production, Solange Guedes, said on Monday in a telephone interview. Guedes said the company's floating, production, storage and offloading ship (FPSO) named Cidade de Saquarema could begin operations in the Lula Central field this month and that she expects that Cidade de Caraguatatuba FPSO in the Lapa field to start operations in August. to arrive at BrasFELS in the second quarter of 2016, and will be deployed in the Lapa Field, Santos Basin, Brazil. The FPSO Cidade de Itaguaí MV26, which was delivered by BrasFELS to MODEC in mid-2015 achieved first oil production four months ahead of the schedule, in the Iracema Norte Area of Lula Field in Brazil. In the past five years, BrasFELS delivered five FPSO projects safely and ahead of schedule, of which three were for MODEC. The above contract is not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets or earnings per share of Keppel Corporation Limited for the current
