Oil and gas equipment and technology provider National Oilwell Varco, has appointed David Reid as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, effective April 17, 2020. Reid has been appointed a successor of Hege Kverneland who will retire after more than two decades with National Oilwell VarcoKverneland joined NOV through the acquisition of Hitec in 1999. NOV Awards Contract to Pulse for Mooring Line Monitoring
Pulse Structural Monitoring, an Acteon company, has been awarded a contract with National Oilwell Varco (NOV) Arendal in Norway to provide an acoustic mooring line subsea monitoring system to measure mooring line inclination and tension. The contract is for 12 mooring line subsea monitoring sensors and ancillary topside equipment, which have been enhanced to meet specific client requirements.
