Oceaneering Wins Wintershall ROV Work

Oceaneering International said it has secured a contract to provide integrated remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) services for Wintershall offshore Norway.The deal covers ROV services for the Northern Drilling Moss Maritime CS-60Mk type drilling unit West Mira, which will perform production drilling on Wintershall Norge-operated fields in the Norwegian Continental Shelf, including Vega and Nova in the North Sea and Maria in the Norwegian Sea, as well as exploration drilling.The ROV work will include installation of hangar systems, remote onshore mission support services, BOP tethering systems

Swire Seabed Awarded Wintershall Framework Agreement

Swire Seabed announced it has secured a framework agreement with Wintershall Norge AS for the provision of marine subsea services (MSS) in the North Sea.The agreement will commence this year and has a duration of three years plus four yearly options, the subsea services firm said.The work scope includes the supply of vessel and services which encompasses survey, IMR and light construction.The agreement is call-off based, meaning that during the course of the frame agreement, Wintershall can award MSS contracts on an as-needed basis.

Skarfjell becomes tie-back to Gjøa

. Gjøa is also one of few fields in Norway with power from shore. This will minimise the environmental footprints from Skarfjell. The partnership will submit the concept select report to the authorities by 16 February 2017. DEA Norge has a 10% share in Skarfjell and the partners are Wintershall Norge AS (operator) (35%), Capricorn Norge AS (20%), Bayerngas Norge AS (20%) and Edison International Norway (15%).  

Statoil completes acquisition of Byrding interest

On 30 December 2016 Statoil and Wintershall Norge (“Wintershall”) completed their previously announced transaction, whereby Statoil has acquired Wintershall’s 25% interest in the Byrding project on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). As a result, Statoil’s operated interest in Byrding (PL090B) has increased from 45% to 70%. Byrding is an oil and gas discovery in the northern part of the North Sea, near the Troll / Fram area which represents a focal point of Norway's oil and gas production. The field is scheduled to come on stream in the third quarter of 2017.  

Subsea 7 Bags Norwegian North Sea Contract

Subsea 7 S.A. announced it has been awarded a pipeline and construction contract worth approximately $300 million from Wintershall Norge AS for the Maria field development.   The contract consists of engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of 95 kilometers of rigid flowlines and associated structures to develop the Maria field located in the Norwegian Sea at a water depth of approximately 300 meters.   Project management and engineering work will commence immediately at Subsea 7’s offices in Stavanger, Norway, while offshore operations are scheduled to

Another Gas Find By Statoil in Aasta Hanstee

this year, Statoil increased its equity share in PL602 through transactions with Rocksource ASA and Atlantic Petroleum Norge AS. Subject to government approval, the PL602 partnership will consist of Statoil Petroleum AS (operator, 42.5%), Petoro AS (20%), Centrica Resources (Norge) AS (20%), Wintershall Norge AS (10%) and Atlantic Petroleum Norge AS (7.5%).  

Statoil's New gas Discovery at Aasta Hansteen
