2015 saw the signing of several contracts with new EIVA representatives throughout the world. In December, yet another company was added to the list, as OceanCosmos Nigeria Limited has become the first EIVA representative in Nigeria.

The Danish software and hardware engineering specialist EIVA has added the first Nigerian company to its worldwide network of representatives. As of December 2015, OceanCosmos Nigeria Limited will offer its customers both EIVA hardware and software solutions as a local point of contact that knows the drill of the Nigerian offshore construction and survey industry.

The applications of the EIVA product portfolio include oil production activities. As Africa is one of the major oil exporters in the world, the company has seen an increasing interest from the African countries – especially Nigeria – throughout the last decade.

“We are working closely together with many offshore operators in Nigeria which have seen a growing number of activities with EIVA’s solutions on board,” said EIVA Sales Director Jakob Møller Nielsen. “Establishing a collaboration with a local, indigenous Nigerian company was an obvious step to take.”

EIVA said it is looking into the possibilities of further expanding activities in Africa.
