Unique System Group have taken delivery of two 110VAC HydroPACT 660 pipe tracking systems for its pool of rental equipment.
The HydroPACT 660 is a small form factor pipe and cable tracking system built upon the Pulse Induction technology and is designed to operate to 3,000 meters. It retains greater than 85 percent of performance capability of the HydroPACT 440 while being 60 percent smaller and 70 percent lighter.
The HydroPACT 660 brings pipe tracking capabilities to smaller classes of ROV, for applications that were only previously available on larger vehicles such as work class ROVs and trenchers. The newly designed one-coil array measures 1200mm x 600mm and weighs less than 16kg, guaranteeing a small form factor package for end-users.
Unique System (UK) Ltd adds the HydroPACT 660 to its offering, joining a number of HydroPACT 440 systems already in the company’s rental pool.
“The HydroPACT 660 is an exciting addition to our inventory, and we are delighted to help our clients access this latest technology,” said Andy Doggett, Survey Division Director. “The product complements our existing fleet and means that we can offer the most wide-ranging suite of solutions for our clients’ cable and pipeline detection requirements.”
Ed Cheesman, Senior Manager, Sales & BD, Instruments & Imaging, Teledyne Marine, said, “We are delighted to be able to supply our new HydroPACT 660 pipe tracker to Unique System (UK) Ltd. Teledyne TSS has a long-standing relationship with the Unique Group globally, and they have been delivering subsea detection and tracking systems to the various companies in the Unique network for a number of years. The Unique System (UK) Ltd rental pool is stacked with HydroPACT 440s, and we are pleased to enable Unique to now service their customers with our newest product.”
