Introduction

I started my seagoing career in Feb 1991. Completed sea time in 1994.

I passed Class 4/3(UK) in 1995,class 2/1(UK) by 2000. I did class 1(Master Mariner)(UK) in 2003.

I have done MSc in Maritime Operations from Liverpool john moore university/UK.

 I am Captain since 2008. I have sailed throughout my sea going carrier on various kind of ships e.g. General cargo vessel/Containership, Bulk Carrier, LNG, chemical tankers, product tankers, crude oil tankers engaged in worldwide navigation.

  I have command experience on FSU’s (floating storage units) as well. I have extensive STS experience.

I have done Successful Oil Major Inspections and ISM/ISPS audits during my time as Master of the vessels.

I have worked ashore as DPA/operations/Marine supt/sessional lecturer and BDM in which capacity I found vessels to be chartered by the company etc.

I was in charge operations of AHT engaged in anchor handling, Towing ,supply of the accommodation barge, supply of consumables to tugs, patrol boats and supply vessels as per  instructions of operations superintendent accommodation barge belonging to oil majors.

I was in charge of pre charter/Hire inspection by oil major e.g.  Shell, chevron, Total etc. and later on liaising with the chartering,  operations departments and the vessels for smooth operations.

I was doing flag endorsement for the vessels e.g. Certification of all vessel i.e. Mandatory and secondary certificates by the flag state(ABS). Doing meeting with flag state officials for the smooth operations of certification process.

I was conducting internal ISM/ISPS audits of the vessel. I was arranging external ISM/ISPS audits of the vessels as well.

Conducting interviews of senior staff for employment onboard  vessels.

I was dong periodical review of  HSSEQ management system.

I was liaising with various depts. Such as technical, operation, navigation and HSSEQ dept. for smooth operations of the vessels.

I was tracking and closing non-conformities, investigating accidents and incidents, formulate reports and provide corrective action.

I was from time to time acting as deputy for the Marine/HSSEQ manager when he was unavailable.

Sora Marine (Qatar) – Management - DPA/Business Development – April 2014 – October 2014.

Worked as DPA of the company research vessel and also was involved in business development of the company. I was meeting possible clients, introducing the marine services that the company specialized in. I was involved in formulating legal documents e.g. BIMCO legal  documents such as supplytime 2005,shipman 2009 and crewmen A 2009 on hehalf of the company. I was involved in the tender process of the company and also was involved in the negotiating the charter terms and conditions with the vessels owners. I did communications with QIC(Qatar insurance company) and Reinstad(Dutch underwriters) with regards to insurance for crew whilst their travel period. I did internal ISM audit of the company in which I was the lead auditor.

Seasonal Lecturer at Liverpool John Moore University (UK) – School of Engineering technology and Maritime Operations April 2013 till June 2013.

Marine Superintendent in GBLT (Singapore) – Safety Dept. – Sept. 2012 till Dec. 2012.

Incharge of chemical tankers and products tankers.

I conducted ISM/ISPS audits and oil majors inspections.

In consultation with technical dept/Master prepared the drydock list and made the vessel ready for drydock.

Interview the senior management of the vessel before the employment onboard.

Conclusion

I have experience in commercial post-fixture and operational aspect of the vessel including monitoring day to day operations of the vessel e.g. appointing agent and funding.

I have experience in keeping the vessel seaworthy. i.e. keep the vessel ready for operation at all times and preparing the vessel for dry-docking as well.

I have experience in voyage planning of the vessel from shore side as well.

I have experience in SMS review/development and making sure vessels comply by the company SMS procedure and standards.

I have been a tanker man most of my seagoing carrier i.e. i have working experience on LNG, VLCC, Chemical tankers, product tankers, afra-max tankers.

During my Shore carrier I have been in charge of oil tankers, research vessels and AHT which required close liaising with charterers, operations, flag state, surveyors and vessels etc.
