Oceaneering Awarded Work in Mozambique

Oceaneering announced on Wednesday it has secured a contract from Anadarko Petroleum Corporation to supply umbilicals, distribution hardware, and aftermarket services for its liquefaction and export terminal project in Mozambique.The multiple lengths of onshore and subsea steel tube control umbilicals total approximately 185 kilometers in length. The distribution hardware to be provided includes umbilical termination assemblies, hydraulic and chemical distribution units, electrical distribution units, flying leads, junction plates, remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) flyable large-bore connectors

Oceaneering Bags Anadarko Umbilical Contract

Oceaneering International, Inc. said it has secured a contract from Anadarko Petroleum Corporation to supply the umbilical for Anadarko’s Constellation subsea tieback in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.   The contract is for a dynamic and static electro-hydraulic steel tube control umbilical, and associated hardware. Oceaneering plans to design and manufacture the umbilical at its facility in Panama City, Fla.   The control umbilical for the Constellation project is expected to be used to transmit hydraulic control fluid and chemicals, as well as provide the electrical power and fiber

Rapid Mooring Support in the Gulf of Mexico

Subsea services provider InterMoor Inc. provided Anadarko Petroleum Corporation with rapid hook-up services for its Heidelberg truss spar in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico after stepping in at short notice for another contractor.   The company hooked up the 80,000 bbl/d spar to three mooring lines in Green Canyon block 860, offshore Louisiana, at a water depth of 5,300 ft (1,600 m). The project’s original contractor then resumed the job and completed the remaining six mooring lines along with the completion of the spar installation.   InterMoor initiated the engineering work in March

InterMoor Completes Red Hawk Spar Decommissioning Work

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has completed its contract supporting the decommissioning of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation’s Red Hawk spar in the Gulf of Mexico. The Red Hawk spar is the deepest floating production platform to date to be decommissioned in the Gulf of Mexico. It is also the first spar decommissioned in the “Rigs-to-Reefs” program, which required the spar to be laid down on its side on the seafloor. McDermott International, Inc. says that one of its subsidiaries has entered into an agreement with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation to provide construction and decommissioning support services employing Derrick Barge 50 (“DB50”) on the Red Hawk project, located in Garden Banks 876. FMC Signs Joint Subsea Tech Agreement with Oil Majors

FMC Technologies, Inc. says that it has signed an agreement which establishes a joint industry program that includes Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, BP, ConocoPhillips and Shell for the purpose of jointly developing a new generation of standardized subsea production equipment and systems designed to meet the challenges of producing oil and gas from deepwater reservoirs with pressures of up to 20,000 psi and temperatures of 350°F at the mudline.
