OSIL Buoy for Coastal Erosion Project

Ocean Scientific International Ltd (OSIL) have supplied a 1.2m data buoy platform to the “ORION” joint research and development center for use as a real-time monitoring station on an EU-funded project managing coastal erosion.The Harmonized Coastal Corrosion Management Framework for Enhancing the Implementation of the Integrated Coastal Zone Management Protocol (HERMES) project required a platform with the ability to record a full profile of water column currents, tidal variations, wave parameters (significant wave height, wave period & propagation direction) & estimated suspended

Reducing the Cost of Subsea Corrosion Monitoring

by use of magnetic clamps. An optional protection cover is available for systems buried in the seabed, under concrete blankets or rubble.   Target applications include identification and measurement of pipeline grooves, monitoring corrosion rate in vulnerable locations and optimization of corrosion management systems.

Jee Secures Contract Extension with BP

multi-discipline subsea engineering and training firm Jee Ltd informs it has secured a contract extension with BP for the provision of integrity management services and in-line inspection engineering support in the North Sea. The contract involves project coordination, risk and corrosion management, span assessment, intelligent and operational pigging support and ad hoc engineering studies, Jee said. Jee has worked with BP for more than two decades on ad hoc global operations and project support in locations including Aberdeen, Grangemouth and London in the U.K., and Angola, Azerbaijan

Jee Secures Contract Extension with BP

Aberdeen, Grangemouth and London in the U.K. and Angola, Azerbaijan, Norway and Trinidad. The contract extension will continue this work, with the annual value ranging from £1 million to £2 million, depending on the level of activity. The ongoing scope of work has included corrosion management, span assessment and intelligent and operational pigging support of BP’s pipelines. Jee has also assisted in third party verification and ad-hoc technical support including data management, involving the collation, management and production of documentation such as preparedness response
