Phoenix Hires Long, Turner in Manager Roles

Phoenix International Holdings, Inc. announced that Matthew Long has joined the company as General Manager (GM) of its Largo, Md. headquarters office, and Troy Turner has been appointed as Area Manager for our Bayou Vista, La. Location.

 
Long will oversee all aspects of Phoenix’s government and commercial deep ocean search and recovery service lines, as well as the company’s Engineering and R&D work, while Turner will be responsible for overseeing and directing the day-to-day activities of the Bayou Vista office, and actively pursuing growth opportunities for all Phoenix services in the area. 
 
A retired U.S. Navy Engineering Duty Officer and Diver, Long brings to Phoenix decades of experience managing technically challenging marine engineering projects worldwide. As a licensed Professional Engineer and certified Project Manager,his qualifications supplement his deck-plate knowledge in all of the Largo GM areas of responsibility.
 
Throughout an Oil and Gas career that spans over 28 years, Turner has garnered knowledge and experience in the commercial diving industry by  working through the ranks as a tender, diver, supervisor, project manager and general manager. As a professional commercial diver for over half his career, he also possess an unwavering commitment to safe diving practices and procedures, and is an industry advocate for diver safety. A graduate of the Commercial Diving School at the College of Oceaneering, Turner has completed leadership and team performance training and participates in several charitable organizations benefiting those in need in the oil and gas Industry.
