Seafloor Systems announced it has shipped 13 HydroLite-TM units to the U.S. Army Dive Team in Aberdeen, Maryland.

The company introduced the Hydrolite-TM portable survey system in 2005, which incorporated a Trimble GeoXT handheld with a survey grade echosounder integrated to a small vessel mountable mounting bracket for the U.S. Army Tactical Dive Teams.

For the past 10 years, the HydroLite-TM has servedhydrographic surveyors worldwide—surveying shallow waters such as ponds, rivers and lakes.

According to Seafloor Systems , The HydroLite-TM looks and feels like a traditional hydrographic survey pole, but the system can quickly measure and log water depths more accurately than standard systems.

The system is compatible with Trimble, Spectra, Topcon, Carlson, Sokkia, Magellan and more.
