Acoustic underwater communication systems are the key component if real time data collection from seafloor or mooring sensor platforms is required. Our HAM.NODE and HAM.BASE hydroacoustic modems enable new applications not possible with offline data logging – especially when they are combined with our satellite and RF telemetry system RCOM. In the past, the information were already out-dated when it became available for analysis – often system malfunction could not be detected until the subsea sensor platforms were recovered. Now, the remote data link allows immediate reaction – and often replacement of malfunctioning equipment is not even necessary as our telemetry systems allow online system reconfiguration and optimization for most oceanographic sensors with digital interfaces.

Recording sensor data is only the first step – today the focus is shifted from pure data collection with delayed offline evaluation more and more towards real time data services. Data is acquired and forwarded to the customers’ data base immediately or at least frequently. It gives immediate feedback on the deployed systems performance and allows– in reverse – to react by optimizing the remote systems configuration. develogic RF and Satellite Telemetry systems are another building block. It provides, either in combination with our range of hydro acoustic modems or also standalone with directly connected sensors in surface applications, a link to your office in the chain of data transmissions.
