Hirschmann MCS provides overload protection and weighing solutions for port and harbor applications, including the new IMO container weighing (VGM) requirements. Hirschmann is a leading manufacturer of load sensing, weighing, and control systems for lifting applications. These systems are suitable for use in overhead traveling cranes, container cranes, harbor cranes, gantry cranes, and reach stackers.
Hirschmann’s weighing solutions can easily be integrated in cranes directly at the port. Individual components or complete retrofit solutions are available with a wide range of HMI, controller and sensor options to meet accuracy requirements. Sensor options include load pin, tension, compression, pressure and wireless. All systems and sensors were designed for use in harsh environments and can be used in OEM or aftermarket applications.
Hirschmann also offers crane operator aids & control systems, including load moment indicators, and wireless / wired load, angle, and anti-two
vSCALE Consoles: User-friendly HMI console with function keys and rotary encoder for display, operation, and diagnostics (ie: error codes, load counter/load spectrum recorder). Consoles feature superior HMI graphics with 4.3” & 7” display options and the option of horizontal or vertical mounting. cSCALE Controllers: Designed for use in harsh environments, cSCALE controllers are available with IP 20 or IP 66/67 protection rating and feature expandable I/Os and an Integrated datalogger.
Load Cells (fSENS KMD): fSENS KMD lead cells measure static or dynamic tensile and compressive forces. These load cells range from single digits to thousands of kN and feature a high measurement accuracy.
Load Pins (fSENS MA): fSENS MA load pins measure static or dynamic shear forces of nominal loads from single digits to thousands of kN. Customized solutions are available.
