Products

Our comprehensive suites of marine, oceanographic and survey transducers, WeatherStation® instruments, ACOMMs, and low-cost arrays integrate seamlessly into our customers’ innovative products to deliver performance that meets their most challenging mission requirements. Ideal applications include shallow and deep-water survey, sub-bottom profiling, navigation, fisheries research, aquatic habitat assessment, underwater scientific applications and more. Customization of transducers for specific marine applications is available.

Products

EchoRange™ Smart™ Sensors

EchoRange Smart Sensors

[Category: Instrumentation / Ship Systems-Hydrological Instruments]

Ultrasonic EchoRange Smart Sensors deliver depth and water temperature data to any NMEA device. With embedded transceivers and sophisticated digital signal processing, they are ideal for applications such as hydrographic survey, ASVs, UUVs and inspection. Our next level EchoRange+™ with Echo Envelope Option enables user-defined depth range and echo waveform for bottom detection to 200 m. Compact and cost effective, with multiple mounting options, EchoRange+ is the most versatile line of field survey transducers available for autonomous hydrographic survey and fixed applications.

200m Mini Altimeter Kit Smart™ Sensor

200m Mini Altimeter Kit Smart Sensor

[Category: Instrumentation / Ship Systems-Hydrological Instruments]

Airmar's 200m Mini Altimeter Kit is an ultra-compact altimeter kit designed for measuring height off the sea floor and underwater structures. Pressure rated for up to 1,000 meters, the 200m Mini Altimeter delivers 99.4% accuracy at 5.8 meters from a small, lightweight configuration optimized for use on AUV’s, ROV’s and marine robotics platforms. The sensor is available in either 170 kHz or 200 kHz and has low power consumption of just 150 mA at 12 V making it ideal for power-limited vessels.

200WX-IPX7 Ultrasonic WeatherStation® Instrument

200WX-IPX7 Ultrasonic WeatherStation Instrument

[Category: Instrumentation / Ship Systems-Weather/Meteorological Equipment]

The 200WX-IPX7 multisensor provides accurate marine weather data critical for USVs, ASVs and other dynamic offshore applications. No moving parts and proven IPX7-rated construction enable reliable operation even in harsh sea conditions. The 200WX-IPX7 calculates theoretical wind speed and direction based upon apparent wind, plus vessel speed and heading. It also features an integrated compass, GPS, 3-axis gyro and accelerometer for high-accuracy rate of turn and pitch & roll measurement.

M192 Survey/Navigation Transducer

M192 Survey/Navigation Transducer

[Category: Instrumentation / Ship Systems-Echo Sounders]

The M192 is an underwater ultrasonic transducer for deep and shallow-water sea survey and sub-bottom profiling applications, and high seas navigation. Its efficient low-ringing arrays provide excellent target resolution. Constructed with seamless SEALCAST™ urethane housing for impact resistance and long operational life, the M192 can be adapted for tank or portable mounting. Several low-frequency options are available, from 15 kHz to 38 kHz, plus 25-45 broadband and 33/200 dual-frequency.

Custom Transducers and Arrays

ACOMMS

[Category: Sonar & Systems]

MSI Transducers, as subsidiary of Airmar, specializes in custom transducers and arrays for both commercial and defense markets. MSI’s broad design and manufacturing capabilities enables the development of everything from state-of-the-art synthetic aperture sonars to low cost commercial arrays. MSI helps to turn ideas into designs, or manufacture build to print products in piezocomposite, solid ceramic, or any other material to meet performance needs.
