In the Kiel Cluster of Excellence “The Future Ocean” 250 scientists reassess the global change in the ocean to allow a sustainable management of the ocean´s resources. One major objective is to foster the transfer of technology and knowledge into economic use. We present results from Materials Science,Data Management and Remotely Operated Vehicles.

August marks the annual hydrographic e-magazine and the opportunity to highlight some of the global research underway in our world’s oceans. We explore hydrographic data, climate simulations, subsea networks and cybersecurity, camera technology, autonomous operations, sonar and survey solutions, as well as ROVs.
