Marine Technology Reporter

Ashtead Technology purchased £1.3 million of Sonardyne 6G acoustic positioning equipment. This latest acquisition is Ashtead’s second significant order for 6G in the last 12 months, further strengthening the company’s fleet of Compatt 6 transponders, including various sound velocity, digiquartz and inclinometer sensors, GyroCompatts, RovNav 6 LBL transceivers and both omni and directional Wideband Sub Mini transponders. The fleet is available to rent globally from Ashtead Technology’s bases in Aberdeen, Houston and Singapore and through its agents in Stavanger, Perth and Abu Dhabi. Ashtead Technology also purchased Sonardyne’s new back deck acoustic transponder test and configuration device, iWand.
