Shell Selects Materia's Thermal Insulation System

New Sales Manager for Contraflex

Gloucestershire-based Advanced Insulation, a manufacturer of specialist passive fire protection and thermal insulation for the upstream oil and gas industry, has appointed Richard Lane as Sales Manager for its Covertherm business unit. Lane's UK-based role makes him responsible for the sales and development of Advanced Insulation’s ContraFlex range of bespoke insulation and passive fire protection jackets, which are used to provide high-performance thermal insulation and protection from jet and/or hydrocarbon fire to equipment requiring frequent maintenance access. Advanced Insulation Expands Houston Facility

Having reported an increase in sales activity from the North America market in recent months, UK-based Advanced Insulation informs it is expanding its Houston-based operation with an additional 10,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility.  Announcing the move, Advanced Insulation’s managing director Andrew Bennion said, “The 10,000 sq. ft. expansion means we are now even better placed to assist our North American customers more effectively by providing an in-house insulation facility.” Until now, most insulation services were undertaken at its customers’ facilities
