penetration. In terms of barrier verification, the NORSOK Standard D-010 covering well integrity in drilling and well operations requires that a plug is verified to the maximum differential pressure at the time of barrier placement. CaTS communications technology is unaffected by bridge or cement plugs, making it ideally suited to short-term and long-term well integrity monitoring. During workover or P&A (plugging) operations it is common to install both deep and shallow set bridge plugs as temporary barriers at an early stage of the operation. In some wells it can be necessary to establish

, vessel-based approach and will be completed as part of a multi-operator campaign in summer 2015. The offshore campaign will be conducted from an anchor-handling tug supply vessel (AHTS), the Island Valiant. During phase one, SWAT will be deployed through the vessel’s moon pool to set cement plugs in the bore and across all the casing annuli. The second phase will use an abrasive severance system for the cutting of the wells and sequential removal from the seabed. This will conclude the offshore operations.

contract. The campaign will be conducted from an anchor-handling tug supply vessel (AHTS), the Island Valiant. During phase one, the Suspended Well Abandonment Tool (SWAT) system from sister Acteon company Claxton Engineering Services will be deployed through the vessel’s moon pool to set cement plugs in the bore and across all the casing annuli. The second phase will use an abrasive severance system for the cutting of the wells and sequential removal from the seabed. This will conclude the offshore operations.

wells, zones or pilot holes to be cost effectively converted into long-term, high value monitoring assets. The CaTS data is proving of value in reducing uncertainties in reservoir connectivity and identifying any far boundaries. Using an electromagnetic signal, CaTS is not influenced by cemented pipe, cement plugs or bridge plugs meaning that the well can be permanently abandoned with no further well intervention required.   A full range of other products and services are being demonstrated at the stand, including Expro’s market leading subsea landing strings, its global well testing services
