DEA becomes Operator in Denmark
The Danish Energy Agency has awarded DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG two licences in Denmark. The concession area of about 530 square kilometres is located in the southern Central Graben in the western part of the Danish North Sea. The German upstream company DEA, based in Hamburg, applied for two concessions as part of the 7th licensing round in October 2014. Subsea 7 S.A. announced that it has been awarded a major contract by BP, and partner DEA (Deutsche Erdoel AG), for the development of the Giza, Fayoum and Raven subsea fields offshore Alexandria, Egypt.
