TDI-Brooks Wraps Geotechnical Project at Black Sea Gas Pipeline Project

Marine survey specialist TDI-Brooks said Thursday it had completed a third geotechnical support project for Turkey's DenAr Ocean Engineering,for Phase 2 of the TPOTC Sakarya gas field pipeline route investigation and site survey project in the Black Sea.The program consisted of Gravity Cone Penetrometer (gCPT) and T-Bar tests. TDI-Brooks deployed geotechnical tools and geotechnical operators to the ongoing project off Turkey in the Black Sea. During this second leg of phase two, seventy-eight (78) gCPTs were collected in 34 to 2,168 meters of water. Allseas: No Plans to Resume Nord Stream 2 Work

Swiss-Dutch company Allseas Group said it has no plans to resume laying pipes for Russia's Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project, Russian state news agency TASS reported on Monday.Russia said it has its own vessel to complete the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Germany after Washington placed sanctions on the project.(Reporting by Andrey Ostroukh, editing by Louise Heavens)

Saipem: No Changes to South Stream Work Suspension

Italian oil services group Saipem said on Tuesday it had been notified that no "significant" changes to the work suspension of the South Stream gas pipeline project were expected until Feb. 19, according to a statement.   Saipem said on Dec. 4 that the project's "marine spread activities", which include pipe-laying operations, were suspended.   This was just days after Russia abandoned the South Stream project, which was to supply gas to southern Europe without crossing Ukraine, citing European Union objections. It instead proposed an undersea pipeline to Turkey.

Eni Puts Saipem Stake Sale on Hold

Italian oil major Eni has put the sale of its stake in Saipem on hold after the cancellation of the lucrative South Stream gas pipeline project and plunging oil prices shaved off almost half the oil contractor's market value in two months.   In July state-controlled Eni laid out plans to sell assets, including its 43 percent stake in Saipem, to help fund its transformation into a leaner oil and gas outfit.   On Thursday Eni said in a statement it still considered Saipem as non strategic but that it had put any assessment of options on hold because of difficult market conditions.   S
