Hovem Named CEO of DNV GL Oil & Gas

Liv Hovem will step in as CEO of DNV GL’s Oil & Gas business area from January 1, 2018. She will be based at the DNV GL – Oil & Gas headquarters in Høvik, Norway as a member of the DNV GL Group's Executive Committee reporting to Group President and CEO Remi Eriksen. DNV GL Opens Laboratory in Singapore

DNV GL opened a new laboratory in Singapore which it said aims to deliver innovative and integrated solutions for the marine and offshore industries. Class Clash: DNV, GL to Merge

Norway’s Det Norke Veritas (DNV) and Germany’s Germanischer Lloyd (GL) have signed a deal to merge. While the deal is termed a merger, considering that the DNV Foundation will hold 63.5 %, and GL’s owner Mayfair SE will hold 36.5%, and the fact that the new company, to be called DNV GL Group with a combined turnover of approximately $3.3 billion, will be headquartered and registered in Norway, it is not a stretch to call it a DNV takeover of GL.
