McDermott Wraps Up Ichthys LNG Campaign

McDermott International announced Monday it has completed the final offshore campaign for the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project, located offshore Western Australia.This was the second of two remaining work packages left under McDermott's contract, which was the largest subsea contract ever awarded at the time, the company said. Ichthys Explorer Moored off Western Australia

The world’s largest semi-submersible platform, the Ichthys Explorer, has been safely moored in the Ichthys Field, 220 kilometers off the north coast of Western Australia, where it will be located for 40 years, as part of the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project.   Bardex Corporation supplied four moveable Chain Jacks and 28 underwater Barlatches to support the handling of 28 mooring lines. The mooring operation was completed ahead of schedule with the assistance of Bardex lifecycle services. Bardex said the use of its Clump Weight contributed to the efficient mooring up operation.  

Wood Group Wins Ichthys Subsea Deal

 Wood Group has secured a new, five-year contract with INPEX Operations Australia Pty Ltd (INPEX Australia) to provide subsea engineering services for the integrity of the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project, offshore Western Australia.  The operations of all subsea assets and the gas export pipeline will be supported under the contract which includes two, one-year extension options and is effective immediately.   It continues Wood Group’s 12-year support of the Ichthys LNG Project development; providing subsea engineering and project management services during the concept

Ichthys Completes Subsea Installation

McDermott Names Flagship Pipelayer in Singapore

DNV GL Wins Ichthys LNG project Contract

  DNV GL has secured a contract to provide in-service verification and classification services to a range of facilities at the Ichthys LNG project in Australia. The contract marks INPEX’s commitment to continue working with DNV GL as it prepares to transition from the project execution phase to the operational phase of the mega project. DNV GL has provided vendor inspection, verification and offshore classification support to the USD 34 billion venture since 2012. This latest contract will see DNV GL continue its expert support to the project as it transitions into operation in 2017.

McDermott Engineers Created the World’s Largest Specialty Valves

 After nearly two years of planning and development McDermott's team has achieved a first of a kind in the valve industry; creating the world’s largest forged body specialty valve, in collaboration with a valve manufacturer.
