Global marine technology company, Kongsberg Maritime has appointed a new business manager for the Offshore Production division of its Kongsberg Maritime Ltd base in Aberdeen. David Wilson brings to the role more than 27 years of experience in the marine engineering industry, the vast majority of which has been spent with Kongsberg Maritime. He has played an integral role within a number of teams, holding key positions within technical sales and business development, covering offshore support, offshore survey and construction, merchant shipping, marine research and naval markets, the comapny said.

Kongsberg Maritime says it has introduced a series of new on-water training courses for offshore surveyors and survey engineers following the launch of its own chartered vessel, 'True North'. Kongsberg Camera Systems for OOI
The Kongsberg Maritime Ltd. Camera group Systems & Projects Team delivered the first set of cabled IP Digital Still Camera Stations (CAMDS) to the University of Washington. The delivery is for the regional cabled observatory component of the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) program in the northeast Pacific Ocean off the West Coast of the United States of America. Further cabled systems are scheduled for delivery in the coming months to Oregon State University as part of the coastal Endurance Array component of the OOI program.
